Outrun: Noir

Outrun: Noir was created for a games design production class, with a small design brief. 

Outrun: Noir is a side scrolling vehicular shooter, marrying the memorable retro visual style of the 1980s with the timeless Noire gangster theme. Following a member of a New York Crime Family “The Manhattan Typewriters” on the run, the player must  fight their way through three levels as they attempt to outrun the Police and Triad forces to escape the city. Players swap between lanes, kill enemies, acquire weapons, and pick up fellow Mafia members to ensure there escape and maximise their highscore.

In the future we hope to work on this game a little more to put it to a presentable standard.
